Go to Sleepy is a wonderful song to use during transitions with grades PreK-3. You can sing the song to “put the instruments to sleep” as you collect them or the children put them away. The melody is pentatonic, so you can easily have children improvise softly on barred instruments with the song. It is excellent for teaching the solfege syllable low sol.
