Old Mother Brown

This hand clap from England dates back to the late 1800's. It has many elements similar to the text of handclaps today, but particularly notable is the meandering feel of the lyrics, which work primarily because of their rhymes rather than their meaning. There's also the ever-popular topic of boyfriends! Recommended for grades 4-6.
